Friendship beach is a very basic beach with some sand. I can’t be more energetic about it than that. You probably wouldn’t come here for the beach.
The allure of the place is that it is conveniently located just north of Rawai, and you have easy access to Promthep Cape and the other awesome beaches around the cape. Phuket Town is not too far away, around 20 minutes through light traffic.

Hock Hoe Lee – The Original Phuket Coffee Roaster is on the main road (Wiset) running parallel to the beach. Hock Hoe Lee is a coffee shop and espresso bar. They have roasted coffee, great desserts, and they serve breakfast. The pancakes and waffles are rated highly and prices are reasonable.
Open on Google MapsSottovento Italian Restaurant – This Italian restaurant gets great reviews and it is only a minute’s walk from the water at Friendship Beach. They serve Italian and Thai food. The extensive wine list was mentioned by a few customers.
We have never heard of such a thing, but this Italian restaurant does not have PIZZA on the menu.

Royal Thai Villa – This is a beautiful traditionally decorated teak villa property in the Lanna style. The half-dozen wooden villas are on the beach and offer views for all but one set in the back.
Service, cleanliness, food, and extras were all rated above average.
Villa rates during the off-season are an affordable 3,500 to 4,000 THB per night.

Friendship Beach Resort – This is a convenient place to stay on the beachfront of Friendship Beach with Rawai Beach just North.
Rates are very low at less than 2,000 THB during the off-season (May through October). This is a 3-star hotel that gets really high ratings in everything except the price of food is said to be exorbitant by reviewers.
