Just east of Ao Yon Yai Beach is Ao Yon Noi Beach. This one is much smaller, and some people prefer it because there are even fewer people. This is a real locals beach, but of course you’re free to hang out!

Ao Yon Noi Beach is smaller, quieter, and cozier than Ao Yon Yai Beach just beside it. It’s a little harder to reach, but persevere, and you’ll find it and be glad you did.

Ao Yon Noi Beach is 350-meter-long with some shade trees and sand great for either catching some rays for a tan, or just walking around and enjoying the serenity of the place. You’re probably not going to come over this way to the Cape unless you’re staying in a resort here, or you’re in Phuket Town and need a break for a nice meal or a walk on the beach.

There are two excellent restaurants here at Ao Yon Noi Beach, and you should try both of them if you get a chance. Both restaurants on Ao Yon Noi Beach get great ratings from customers. More info see below in the beach facts section.

Sunsets can be very nice when the sky turns fire red like Phuket sunsets often do – the entire sky lighting up in a rich tapestry of reds and oranges.

    Steps from Ao Yon Noi Beach is The Cove Phuket bungalow resort. They are located in the middle of the beach and this makes it easy to walk to one end or the other or to go inland and explore coffee shops or other restaurants.

    The softshell crab burger at the restaurant was mentioned by more than one guest as being delightful. Food is consistently rated highly and there is a 10% service charge on all food orders at the restaurant.

    This resort gets very high ratings in reviews left by guests, and they have over 500 reviews so you can be sure your experience will be mostly positive. Room rates begin around 4,000 THB during the off-seaason.

    Located about 30 meters from the beach, and across a small road, The Mooring Resort gets exceptional ratings from guests.

    Highlights include very clean rooms, exceptional service from all personnel, and a lovely traditional style design that put people at ease. The quietness of the surroundings was noted by many guests, and the restaurant food was highly rated.

    Rooms start at between 4,000-5,000 THB during the low season.

    This resort gets good reviews for guests regarding the service and the closeness to Ao Yon Noi Beach which is just across the street. Many rooms have views of the beach and ocean, and there is a long swimming pool along the length of the hotel that many guests liked. The use of a clear-bottom kayak thrilled some visitors!

    The food at the restaurant is good and very reasonably priced compared to some restaurants in Phuket, so most guests said they were happy with the prices.

    The rooms were mostly clean, but some guests made comments about the cleanliness and the maintenance not being as good as they wished. Room prices in the low season start at around 2,000 THB.
